I have special feelings about this wedding. First of all, Jessica and Jake are our parishioners from St. Irene Byzantine Catholic Church in Portland and I am really glad, that I was able to be a part of their wedding day, document it and get amazing shots. Second, they decided to have their ceremony performed according to traditional catholic orthodox wedding. This is the same ceremony what we have in Ukraine and what I am my wife had when we were getting married. And there was a reason for that. Jessica’s father has Ukrainian roots and tries to keep Ukrainian traditions and even say a few words in Ukrainian.I have to say that the ceremony itself is very old, long and has many parts. The wedding starts on the back of the church where priest (father) does some reading blesses the rings and put them on bride and groom’s fingers. They don’t exchange the rings, the father puts them on. Then they walk down to the altar for the rest of the ceremony. One of the parts is when father, covers bride and groom’s hands and basically declares them husband and wife. Then they are are getting crowned as king and queen and father walks them three times around the altar. The special part is when father blesses the bride and does some readings for her. After the wedding ceremony is over there is a traditional Divine Liturgy with communion at the end. The whole ceremony took almost two hours.Congratulations to Jessica and Jake!PS. All wedding images are available at http://clients.theoleksandr.com. Access code to the gallery is the groom’s last name. Early Bird discount is active for one month.

I am starting a huge sale of all printed products and holiday greeting cards. You can use coupon code 25OFF at checkout to get 25% off on regular and standout mounted prints. I have been working lately on introducing some new print sizes and products. Now you can order square prints, standout mounts and canvases. Canvases is a new product which is going on sale too. You can save up to 30% on these products.
So, go to your online gallery at http://clients.theoleksandr.com and start ordering today, to get them before Chrismas.
Standout mount. Standout is a thick lightweight board finished with a black plastic edge. Hanging holes on backside. Standout is available in two depths, 3/4” and and 1-1/2”, and nothing extra needs to be done to prepare for display.
New! Gallery Wrap Canvas prints. Your image is printed larger then the final size, and the print is then wrapped around a thick wooden stretcher bar. Staples are on the back of the bar. Framing paper covers up the back of the bars, and metal hangers and bumpers are applied to the corners. The Gallery Wrap is ready to hang with no additional work needed. It is a great product which is getting very popular and allows you to turn your image into real art work.
With those finished mounted prints you don’t have to worry about where to find frame to fit your custom image size. You can order prints which are sized to fit entire image without any cropping. It is hard to find frames for them, since they are usually presized for images with different proportions. Standouts and canvases add totaly new look and feeling to your images. I had customers who ordered large standouts and they were super happy with them.
If you prefer you image to be framed, we offer some high quality frames. You can read more about them here.
Holiday Cards can be ordered from out online store.
All major credit cards are welcome!
Have a nice day!
